I was having issues with Nimble Storage Version 3.7.0.0.444264-opt where I wasn’t able to reclaim storage on all Nimble Volume. I was able to reclaim the storage with the following command running on each ESXi host. You will have to run this on each host SSH shell to ensure you can reclaim the storage.

#esxcli storage vmfs unmap -l [NimbleLAX-XX]
To reclaim unused storage blocks on a VMFS datastore for a thin-provisioned device, run this command:
# esxcli storage vmfs unmap –volume-label=volume_label|–volume-uuid=volume_uuid –reclaim-unit=number
# esxcli storage core device vaai status get -d naa
You see output similar to:

VAAI Plugin Name: VMW_VAAIP_NETAPP
ATS Status: supported
Clone Status: supported
Zero Status: supported
Delete Status: supported
